Retriever Athletic Club
Built for the hunt. Developed with purpose.
Retriever Athletic Club Training
This program is primarily for those in proximity to Annapolis who purchased well-bred retriever breeds with no intention of hunting hard or hunting at all. Many have found that their young dogs are in desperate need for exercise, mental stimulation, and structure.
-
The Retriever Athletic Club is designed to prepare a retriever as a light duty hunting dog or for house dogs that need more exercise and stimulation in their lives. This program runs twice a week through the summer, and space is very limited.
The program focuses on retriever-centric activities including:
swimming
obedience
retrieving
travel in vehicles and boats
social skills
foundational hunting skills.

We work with a variety of gun dog types and dogs at different stages of development; all are welcome. This program is designed to meet the exercise, mental stimulation, social, and obedience needs of high energy dogs that are primarily house/companion dogs. For those that are looking forward to the first hunting season with their retriever, we absolutely can help with that process
Training is tailored to specific owner requests.
